Comment:

 Version 2.6.2 makes it white, if I didn't know any better. The person
 sending the text makes it Black Background & Red Letters, has worked with
 all versions.

 Protocol is AOL.

 Seeing as Pidign 2.6.2 couldn't pull Away Messages when hovering over a
 name in AOL (ticket filed), my thinking is Pidgin can't pull AOL Font Info
 when talking to someone and if it isn't Default then it turns white.
