Comment:

 After manually decoding the xxx.pac  and entering manually the proxy
 details into pidgins yahoo-proxy tab. I can now connect to Yahoo.

 however this practice is not really recommended as these scripts can be
 quiet complicated. I assume the standard Yahhoo client knows how to
 process/treat xxx.pac files.

 In summary it works for me.  However pidgin fails to manage xxx.pac files.
