 I'm still getting this in 2.6.1

 I'm usually logged into gmail and using pidgin (GTalk) at the same time
 but I only use pidgin to chat and not back and forth between the gmail
 chat client and pidgin. I do not change my status message.

 The user I'll be chatting with (who is using chat in gmail) will get text
 sent to them which is my status message every 5-10 minutes even though I
 do not change my status.
