Comment:

 Do you crash every time a file gets transferred ?
 Do you have access to a linux machine too, does Pidgin crash every time on
 linux too? In that case you can use GNU debugger (gdb) to get the back
 trace.
 (It will be tough for me to be able to help you without a back trace, or
 without knowing the exact steps that let me reproduce the crash)

 Many a times the crashes are due to plugins, try transferring files after
 disabling all the plugins.

 Also attach a debug log, even if you didn't see anything suspicious.[[BR]]
 Follow [wiki:TipsForBugReports the instructions] to get a debug log and
 attach it to this ticket.
