 Also it will help if you can give me some details on how you network
 connection is setup. Are you connected through a proxy ? Is there a direct
 connection (peer to peer) possible between ymsgr and pidgin?
 Under Preferences > Network, have you selected "Use automatically selected
 IP address", if yes, is the IP correctly being determined? What is the
 configuration state under "ports" ?

 If possible can you also specify how the machine running ymsgr is
 connected to the network?
 Is there a firewall running at ymsgr end, usually ymsgr adds an exception
 in the firewall list, can you check if an exception is added and enabled?
