Comment:

 MSN buddies on a yahoo account appear different because they are
 characterized by the prefix "msn/", this is not a bug. If you do not like
 how these buddies are represented, you can set an Alias for them.

 Have you tried changing their nickname or Alias? seems to work fine for
 me.
 To change Alias, right click on the buddy in the buddy list and select
 Alias, now type the new alias.

 If you change the Alias and it reverts back or doesn't get updated on the
 server, let us know, also in that case attach the debug log for the Alias
 change.
