 You appear to be connecting fine. I looked at your debug log, your status
 appears to be "invisible", which will cause you to appear offline to your
 buddies.
 I also see you are receiving status updates from msn interop buddies,
 designated by prefix "msn/", so at the very least these buddies would be
 appearing online. Right?

 Regarding other friends that you know are online, and do not appear so in
 your list. Can you make sure they are not invisible? Let us know what you
 find out.
 Since server isn't sending any status updates for them, they are either
 offline, or invisible.
