 Directly (without a proxy) connecting to a jabber server running ejabberd
 2.0.x from pidgin 2.6.2 (Linux) leads to error message:

 gnutls: receive failed: A TLS packet with unexpected length was received.

 Reconnecting does not succeed.

 Same account on pidgin 2.6.2 (Windows XP) works much better (via a squid
 proxy), but rarely leads to a similar message.
