 Hoi,

 seems like noone is reading this, but I'm not giving up :)

 See attached img for how much cpu pidgin is eating up ... Every red dot
 stands for +5 animated smileys, the blue dot means "conversation window
 closed"...

 One Physical Processor / 2 Cores / 2 Logical Processors / 64 bits
 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.00GHz

 GTK guys decline that this is a GDK bug!
