 I agree as well. Please let me disable the colors, change colors for
 individual chatroom participants, and customize the pool that colors are
 randomly pulled from.

 Seriously, it seems there are about 5 barely distinguishable shades of
 grey and pale pink in there, and I rarely get any dark, readable colors.
