 That was what we were looking for.  The debug log shows connecting with no
 proxy, which indicates you have no proxy configured in Pidgin.  If your
 proxy uses a URL for a .pac file for configuration, then this is why it
 isn't working--Pidgin doesn't yet support proxy configuration via .pac
 files.  Try configuring a global proxy in preferences and turn off the
 "Use account proxy for SSL connections" option on the account.  If that
 does not work, configure the proxy on the yahoo account, turn the "Use
 account proxy for SSL connections" option back on, and capture another
 debug log.
