 Software firewall is disabled on the OS. Hardware firewall is not
 restricting outgoing traffic. No proxy server. Corporate network (Windows
 Server 2000 Domain).

 However, Pidgin works just fine on my laptop which runs in the same
 environment. This system is an HP desktop with Windows 7 x64.

 Please let me know if I can provide any more information.
