 I've posted a development build [http://pidgin.im/~datallah/pidgin-2.7
 .0devel-offline.exe here] that (among other things) uses a newer version
 of GTK+ and Cairo.

 If someone who can recreate this issue consistently can give this a test
 and report back, that would be great.
