Comment:

 The chat widget in gmail seems to know when a remote client disconnects
 remotely so some notification must be coming.. Only probably not the
 unavailable presence..

 And the fact that i never faced this issue in the last few years that I
 have used pidgin and I am only facing it today is a little bit confusing
 for me.. Is anyone else facing this issue or is it only me?? :(
