Comment:

 This is because you told Pidgin to remember your password, which is
 ''not'' the default configuration.  We don't simply clear the saved
 password on auth failure because we've seen issues where many of the
 services report intermittent auth failures when the password is, in fact,
 correct.  Modify the account and enter the password again.  You won't need
 to change anything else.  If you had not changed from the default of
 ''not'' saving the password, the password would be cleared on auth failure
 and you'd be prompted to enter it again.
