 Hello Team,

 I have a number of users experiencing a 'no sounds' issue when in a
 chat/conference room on our XMPP server.

 Sounds work fine for these users when in IM conversations, but when the
 user joins a chat/conference room they do not receive sounds for any
 events for which they have sounds enabled.

 OS is typically Windows XP, SP3.

 All of the affected users recently migrated from Pidgin 2.5.1 to 2.6.x.
 We have a mix of 2.6.5 and 2.6.6 users experiencing the same behavior.

 These users did not experience this behavior with Pidgin 2.5.x, the
 behavior seems to only occur with the 2.6.x clients.

 This issue does NOT affect all users, only a few.

 We've of course tried removing / re-installing the client and completely
 deleting the %APPDATA%\.purple dir.

 Is there anything else we can try in terms of troubleshooting the affected
 machines or the server that they connect to?
