 Replying to [comment:9 QuLogic]:

 means you didn't have `PURPLE_UNSAFE_DEBUG` set before running Pidgin.
 Actually, I did set `PURPLE_UNSAFE_DEBUG` at the command line then clicked
 my pidgin menu icon. And after get the debug log, I confirmed and
 `PURPLE_UNSAFE_DEBUG` was still set to 1.

 I guess I have to set `PURPLE_UNSAFE_DEBUG` from the command line and run
 pidgin from the same terminal. Hope that does the trick.
