 i am not sure...i removed it to replace it with pidgin2.6.6...i think it
 must have been fink's.

 since the only version of pidgin that's available from fink's repositories
 is 2.6.6 i tried to download the source for 2.6.5 and compile myself, but
 stopped because, obviously, the make fails without the proper
 configuration/patches to make it compile right, and i'm not acquainted
 enough with pidgin source to get them to compile correctly.
