 For months I thought google had a bug and could not remember my profile
 photo. Turns out pidgin was erasing the photo every time it connected to
 gtalk. My pidgin XMPP setting for "use this buddy icon" was unchecked. Yet
 pidgin was erasing my profile photo at every chance it got!

 If the option is unchecked, pidgin should leave the profile photo how it
 was.
