Hi, I'm having some problems when using a gmail account with Pidgin:
This is the shown message:
Unable to find alternative XMPP connection methods after failing to
connect directly.
This is something that happens from my work computer, this doesn't happen
at my home.
These are the connection settings:
- Require SSL/TLS checked
- Force old (port 5223) unchecked
- Connect port : 5222
- Connect server: <empty>
- Proxy Type: use global proxy settings
I have no problem with my hotmail account.
This is my nslookup output:
nslookup -type=srv _xmpp-client._tcp.gmail.com
*** Can't find server name for address 192.100.100.100: Non-existent
