Comment:

 The !PurpleAccount structure has a username field, which holds the
 ''name'' of the account, as wel as an 'alias' field (local alias displayed
 for your sent messages in conversation windows and various other places).
 Accounts can also have per-account buddy icons (have you even looked at
 the Modify Account dialog?)

 What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
