 I want to look into this problem.
 I tried a super simple perl plugin "test.pl".
 Basically it's only contains plugin info and "require" Gtk2 module at the
 beginning.
 It still crashed Pidgin and the gdb result is shown in gdb_20100801.txt.
 It seems something wrong with body list?

 I really want this problem be solved so that I can append some GUI on my
 plugin.

 BTW, I found some weired stuff, if I comment out the "require Gtk2" then
 turn on pidgin then uncomment it then active my plugin, all Gtk2 functions
 works like a charm.
