 I am unable to connect to AIM.  I updated Pidgin to the latest version
 (2.7.2) and the problem persists.  I have tried checking "Use clientlogin"
 and I receive a different, yet similar error message.

 When "Use clientlogin" is checked, the error message reads: Unable to
 connect to authentication server: Connection timed out.
