 I wrote scripts to convert the repo to git using monotone's official
 tools:
 http://github.com/felipec/pidgin-git-import

 The total size is around 100M, all that is needed is someone who runs this
 script on a regular basis and pushes to some public git repo. There are
 many services that would gladly host this.

 I was doing that but lost motivation.
