 Yes, it seems there has been a change in Yahoo file transfer protocols in
 the last 2 months. Until that change, even pidgin version 2.5.8 worked
 fine with yahoo file transfers.
 I tried the latest libpurple (august 4 2010) patched into pidgin version
 2.6.6 and the problem still remains, even when leaving empty the
 filetransfer server field in yahoo config; so the problem is not yet
 fixed.
 I however cannot try any of the 2.7 version, will not compile on my
 Mandriva 2006. The necessary libraries cannot be upgraded to install the
 required libgtk 2.10, cause it would need upgrading everything; have no
 time to spend with that right now.
 I guess yahoo protocol in libpurple still needs the change to be
 considered.
