 I've had success in reaching the contact by making a new Yahoo! IM account
 and adding the contact with the "msn/" prefix before the full screen name
 (i.e. "msn/user at yahoo.com") - so an obvious suggestion to make would be:
 similar syntax for Yahoo contacts added via Pidgin's MSN protocol, if
 that's possible. i.e. "yahoo/user at yahoo.com" when adding yahoo contacts,
 otherwise Pidgin would assume it's a .NET passport / WindowsLive-based
 account.

 As it stands it seems to assume that the '@yahoo.com' suffix on an MSN
 screenname is a dead giveaway that it is dealing with a Yahoo-based
 account, when this is not always the case
