 From a quick look it looks very similar, daffyduck and i are working on
 getting some logs...

 Also on the newer versions of pidgin (currently using 2.7.1) the other
 user doesn't receive a message not delivered, the message is dropped with
 no message, thus no one knows if the message goes threw or not
