 Dear All,

 Apologies, i have made numerous searches but cannot find the solution. I
 have updated to the new Pidgin, but now have problems logging onto MSN and
 Facebook. It seems that Google talk is still ok. I have removed all the
 old data of Pidgin and fresh installed it. I am currently trying to use
 Pidgin Portable Version. I have checked the network settings for my work
 firewall, and there does not seem to be a proxy in place. No idea why it
 is not working, i have checked with the HTTP checked/unchecked and also
 with port 1863(default) and also 443( which i think worked on previous
 version of Pidgin) to no avail. Any advice, or pointers in the right
 direction would be greatly appreciated
