 Er, I said I was ok with it going in
 libpurple/protocols/oscar/oscar.c:purple_conv_chat_incoming_msg

 When rekkanoryo says "shouldn't go in libpurple itself" he means
 "libpurple/*.c" not "libpurple/*/*/*"
