 I have my facebook friends organized into groups through facebook. When
 starting pidgin, each of these groups appears as a pidgin group. I do not
 wish to have these 10 different groups be pidgin groups, so I rename one
 to 'Facebook' and merge all the others into it.

 Next time pidgin starts, that group preference is forgotten, and the
 buddies show up in 10 different groups again.

 The Facebook XMPP server forces the buddy list structure on Pidgin, which
 explains why this happens.

 However, local preferences should be applied on top of whatever the server
 provides.
