 A plugin could do this by listening for the update-idle signal and doing
 the is-idle detection for itself if it wanted to (it'd probably need to do
 the status change in the idle loop, purple_timeout_add with an argument of
 zero, to avoid the normal idleaway change from overriding it). It might
 also be possible to set up a pref callback for the
 "/purple/savedstatus/isidleaway" preference and trigger a status change
 off of that.

 I don't know that I really believe that even people who think they want
 this feature would actually want it all the time, though I'm certainly not
 telling you you don't just that I fully believe that at some point that
 desire will come back to bite you.
