 I'm very sorry! I thought it said 2.7.7 when I checked but I was wrong! It
 was 2.7.4.

 I've updated to 2.7.7 but I've also looked through the changelogs and I've
 only seen one fix near this "Fix a crash on connection loss."

 I'd like to clarify, that this doesn't happen on a loss, it's actually on
 the reconnect. The phantom tray icon shows the two plugs connecting after
 it crashes.

 This has been in issue for me for well over a year, I just never got
 around to making a bug report because it isn't that annoying. I just have
 to restart the program.

 I'll be sure to run Pidgin in debug mode tonight just to verify that there
 is a fix. Sorry for taking your time without updating first!

 I'll post my results tomorrow if this isn't closed.
