 You still haven't explained clearly enough for me to understand what
 actually is happening. Can you please answer the other question I asked in
 my previous comment?

 Can you explain *specifically* what you are typing and what is showing up
 when things are not working correctly?

 Is this problem limited only to the Add Account window in pidgin or does
 it happen everywhere in pidgin? I'm assuming this doesn't happen in other
 applications?

 Also 101/102 isn't the sort of keyboard layout I was referring to, I more
 meant what regional/language/etc. sort of keyboard layout you have set up.
