 I am using Sametime protocol, and when I run Pidgin in Windows, the
 online/offline/away status for each buddy is correct. However, in Ubuntu,
 some buddies show the correct status, while most of them show up as being
 offline. I can go back and look at windows, and many of the ones that
 showed offline in Ubuntu now show their correct status in Windows.

 If I install Pidgin fresh in Ubuntu and add my sametime server account,
 everything works fine. But if I close Pidgin and start it back up again,
 online/offline status of buddies is again incorrect.

 If I uninstall Pidgin, delete .purple directory, reinstall, and add
 Sametime account, it works again. But exiting Pidgin and going back in
 causes the status of each buddy to be unreliable, and mostly shows them as
 being offline.
