 As you can see in the attached image, messages with formatting display OK
 but messages sent with default formatting display far too small – almost
 too small to be legible. This applies to messages sent from both Pidgin to
 Pidgin and from the official WLM client to Pidgin.

 Platform is Windows XP SP3, which I think may be relevant as I've not
 experienced this issue on newer versions of Windows. Problem seems to
 exist whether or not any other Gtk+ applications (GIMP, etc.) are
 installed.
