 With the New Line plugin enabled, every message I receive through google
 talk is logged as:

 <html xmlns='http://jabber.org/protocol/xhtml-im'>...

 The problem seems to be that the html conversion
 (purple_markup_html_to_xhtml) allows for an html tag only as the first
 tag, but the New Line plugin makes it the second, so the first '<' is
 escaped.
