 I am having the same problem with Pidgin 2.6.2 in Ubuntu 9.10.  Pidgin
 crashes (segfaults)every few minutes with MSN protocol in use. I use
 protocols: LCS/OCS, AIM, MSN and XMPP. Disabling the MSN account (leaving
 all others enabled) seems to have solved the crash problem. I have now
 been running Pidgin for over an hour with no crash, whereas it was
 crashing every 2-4 minutes with MSN enabled.

 If you provide instructions for capturing a crash report, I will provide
 this as well (if it would be helpful).  This is the output from my syslog:
