 I became disconnected from an XMPP chat room.
 Pidgin notified me that it would rejoin the chat room upon reconnection.
 It reconnected, but it did not rejoin the room.
 I opened the debug window and attempted to rejoin.
 The debug window showed no message going to the server to join a room.
 I attempted to join other rooms, which are not joinable by me, perhaps
 because they are private.
 On the first attempt to join each one of those rooms, pidgin sent a
 message to the server to join.  On successive attempts, pidgin sent no
 message.

 It seems to me that this indicates there is a bug or flaw in pidgin. There
 may also be a bug in the server.

 The server where this was observed was Tigase.
