Comment:

 The parenthesis only shows up in the tab-label, not in the 'information
 pane' widget. When you 'detach', a new window with the chat is created,
 which does not show the tab-label (since the tab-labels are displayed only
 when there are more than one conversations in the window). The
 'information pane' is still displayed, without the parenthesis, as always.

 In short, 'not a bug'
