 Most of the code in Pidgin/libpurple is licensed under GPL v2+.  There are
 a few files that have separate licenses (and I think I heard someone say
 that the oscar prpl code is LGPL), but the resultant binary is GPL2+, so
 your program must be licensed under a GPL-compatible license.
