 We use Openfire as an internal XMPP server. When I temporarily lose
 network connection (switching from wired to wifi on a laptop, for example)
 and we have chat rooms open, we lose the entire userlist for the room.
 Everything reconnects and we can still chat, but the userlist is empty. As
 other people join the chat, they are added to the userlist, but anyone who
 was already in the chat during the reconnect is invisible.
