 Hello!

 Thanks for your answer!

 I did as you recommended (uninstalling and reinstalling). But I did not
 work out. Pidgin is still claiming that the version of libpurple is 2.5.5
 though Synaptics tells me its 2.6.5.

 I do not know what to do any more.
