 Problem started occurring with 2.6.5 so I removed GTK and 2.6.5 and
 installed 2.6.6.  Problem remains.  No changes to plugins, configuration
 that I am aware of.  Ran pidgin in debug mode and am attaching debug.log.
 Appears that it is looking for something (Perl, MIT Kerberos?) that it
 cannot find.
