 As per http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/6054, the log viewer also appears
 to be a dialog rather than a separate window. The result of this is that
 the log viewer cannot be minimized and always sits on top of any other
 Pidgin window that currently has focus.

 This behavior can be very annoying where you are referring to something in
 the log viewer infrequently (therefore do not want to side-by-side) but
 still need to access it and, for whatever reason, do not want to open the
 log files in a web browser (for some reason Pidgin destroys formatting
 when taken from a web browser but not from its log viewer for some
 elements).

 Therefore, as per the resolution of #6054 in 2.6.6, this should probably
 be a new window.

 Alternately, I think it would be more optimal to split it as a separate
 process (and window) (so that it doesn't hang the main Pidgin windows when
 searching logs) but this may be impractical.
