 For the question about the configuration files the ConfigurationFiles wiki
 page may be of some use, but I think it likely that darkrain is correct
 and that the account was simply configured slightly incorrectly (enough to
 break in the VPN case but not enough for the internal case). Comparing
 accounts that work versus accounts that don't work is likely the best next
 step.
