#11431: Signals no longer work in Perl plugins
----------------------+-----------------------------------------------------

Type: defect | Status: new
Milestone: 2.7.0 | Component: plugins
Version: 2.6.6 | Resolution:
Keywords: perl |

Comment(by dharding):
The original patch file I posted (comment 5) was bad, so I just reposted
it. However, over the weekend I was able to come up with an approach that
I think might be better. It uses conditional compilation, but with macros
instead of embedded #ifdefs, so the code is a lot cleaner. I built and
tested it on Windows XP, and tested a sample program using the same
technique (but not Pidgin itself) on a Debian x86-64 server I have access
to. But, I would appreciate someone who could test the patch under Linux
x86 as well as x86-64, especially since the Windows build does not use the
configure.ac file.
