#11096: Pidgin/GTK install failure on XP with D: drive selected instead of C:

 Attempted to install Pidgin 2.6.4 on XP.  Manually changed
 the install location from C: to D: for both bundled GTK and
 Pidgin.  The install fails while trying to install GTK; it
 appears, and I say "appears" because I'm not a Windows person
 at all, that perhaps something in the install may be hardwired
 to C:.  But it should be simple for someone with more Windows
 expertise to repeat this and figure out if I've diagnosed correctly
 or whether I'm way off base here.
