 Whenever I try and join a chat room, nothing happens, and these errors
 appear in the debug window:

 (08:13:19) irc: JOIN for #chatroom failed
 (08:13:19) irc: Got a topic for #chatroom, which doesn't exist
 (08:13:19) irc: Got a NAMES list for #chatroom, which doesn't exist

 I at first thought it was a problem with the server, and so I tested on
 other IRC clients. I can join the very same room on any other IRC client,
 it's just pidgin that wants to be stubborn.
