#11145: Digsby won't connect to AIM

Comment(by psouza4):

The other ticket was marked closed without being resolved. The OP
(deadly7) did not follow up and was therefore closed without confirmation.
Since the bug remains and since your system does not permit me to comment
on a closed ticket that I did not open, I created a new ticket for you.
Rather than duplicating information, I pointed to the old ticket (noting
my Pidgin version) with the thought that it'd be revisited.

Your response to that was to close the new ticket and tell me you don't
support Digsby (a typo, but should have been easy to figure out --
especially having pointed it out). Even after a number of exchanges now,
you have still yet to reopen either this duplicate ticket or the original.
Clearly, you don't agree that there is a Pidgin product defect here or you
believe that it has already been resolved. Neither are the case.

I find it unprofessional that you apparently do not care to fully consider
what a user has gone out of his way to report to you. I find it
unprofessional for a developer to make condescending remarks to a user. I
find your apathetic perspective toward whether or not users want to use
 your product unprofessional.

"Wipe the bug report" = clearing it from the open ticket list. You've
removed it from being an open bug that should bear examination. This
would be acceptable if the report this one was duplicating was resolved,
but as I've said many times now: it is not.
