 Same problem. If I uncheck "Use SSL" for AIM, it works however. Running
 Pidgin 2.6.4.

 The SSL certificate for api.screenname.aol.com is good until 9/13/2010 and
 for bos.oscar.aol.com until 2/23/2011, but perhaps AOL pushed out new
 certs recently anyway?
